219 Arch Road

No Obvious Stylistic Reference
c. 1850
This house is a two and one half story residence, of which the exterior is visible from the public road. This house is built on a brownstone foundation with a wood balloon framing system. The house also has a brick chimney and is currently sided with aluminum siding.
The house has been substantially altered and indeed, would appear to be a completely modern house were it not for its brownstone foundation and the fact that an old house is shown at this location on the old maps. It appears that it was made over from a vernacular house of the traditional five bay style.
In the 19th century, the property was owned by Dwight Chidsey.
